21 December 2012
For those of you who follow the Mayan Calendar information, you are aware this is highly auspicious day. Today marks the beginning of a new time cycle, and as many believe, a new world. As an event which marks a 26,000 year transition, it is a day to be honoured - and many celebrations world wide will magnificently do just that.
Yet it is also an ideal a day to reflect - both backward and forward in time. As the new sun rises, the time is ripe for a massive change in the foundational consciousness of the human family. Yet the transformation of humanity foreseen in this transition, will not happen simply around us. It will emerge through us. It will birth itself through a human shift, one person at a time. So what are we letting go of? And, what are the attributes of the new world we are to build, in the days and years ahead?
Although this auspicious time was foreseen long ago, by unfathomably wise indigenous beings, it is also a deeply personal one. The ways of the old world, by grace or by struggle, must begin now to fade away. It is time for a new world, one based on a spiritually mature human love, and a deep appreciation of the unity of life, to be born.
People have written of the closing age as a time steeped in imbalanced patriarchy. We have contributed to the building a world of great technology and capability. Yet we are each aware that this world, is in many ways, is void of a deeper understanding of human mystery and potential. It is a dual world, built on a mixture of inspirations, passion, love and potential - but it is shadowed by lack of respect of the divine nature of human life, and in the existence of all living things. Greed, corruption, hatred, neglect, poverty, fear, and resource mismanagement escape no one's awareness or view.
The heartfulness needed to bear witness to these things, and to transform them, is not found in outmoded patriarchy. The world we see is in many ways missing the tender touch of wise feminine grace. Specific to no gender - the tenderness, the kindness of heart, the wisdom, and the deep spiritual power, which are inherent in feminine nature - are found in every human heart. It is time to awaken and to heal of the heart of humanity. A healing which happens, one heart at a time.
So what is the world you would like to envision? What are the attributes that you would aim to instil? Harmony? Kindness? Respect? Peace? Joy? Laughter? Playfulness? Healing? Generosity? Wisdom? Fairness? Mercy? Compassion? Surely these are attributes of the wise divine mother of life - the one that nurtures and dwells in each of us. These are like the markings on compass that point always in the right direction, and straight into the post 2012 world.
It is time for renewal, and an influx of energy is occurring. It carries in its winds inspiration, power. It carries the ideas to transform outmoded ways of living and relating. It is a conscious energy and it will support all that is in alignment with itself. It is time to build relationships built on integrity, kindness, honesty, mutual understanding, equity and peace. It is time to see the end of poverty and needless disease. It is time to create a planetary community, whose respect for one another is deep and profound, understanding we are spiritually connected and all one.
Let today be the day you deepen your commitment to grow, to heal, and to be you! Is time to share your talents, to be kind, to forgive, to find compassion, to model peace. Ask yourself who you really are and who you really want to be. Find support in the ways you yourself need, to let the light that illumines your own heart shine.
Deep inside, we all know the way. Let us shake off the veils of disillusion and dismay. Let us rise like beacons of hope to embody the wisdom birthing in each one of us today. Let it bring healing, in wave upon wave, upon the planet. Let today, December 21, 2012, be a day of unforgettable grace.
